En Vogue set a new standard for female vocal groups in the 90s, with a blend of powerful harmonies and strong individual personalities. How do you feel about the group’s impact on the music industry, and what do you believe is your most significant contribution?

We are honored and in gratitude that the En Vogue sound has withstood the test of time and attribute our success to our loyal fans who have grown with us as our sound and messaging has evolved over the years. We’ve always felt our most significant contribution was the music itself, combining very relatable lyrical content fused with the unique grooves and style of our producers Denzel Foster and Thomas McElroy. It has also always been important for us to have a positive public image.

En Vogue’s music often conveyed messages of strength, independence, and female empowerment. How do you see the evolution of those messages in today’s music landscape, and what advice do you have for aspiring female artists?

As a group we have always supported each other’s creative aspirations, and we love the ‘magic’ that happens when we come together on stage. Our advice to your aspiring artist and especially female artist is to just ‘stay true to your authentic self’ and never be afraid to try something new creatively. It’s so wonderful to see today’s female music artists expanding their brands and becoming talk show hosts, authors, and getting into TV and film as actresses and producers.

After a long and successful career, what are your future aspirations for En Vogue, and what can fans expect from the group in the years to come?

We are looking to expand into more visual mediums of movies, soundtracks, Broadway musicals etc. We love performing and want to continue meeting new fans in different countries. And of course, if we can get our hands on some great music then we’ll definitely be releasing new music.

What are you looking forward to on The 90s Cruise?

Sharing and catching up with artists that we respect and love their music, having an old fashion jam session, and seeing our fans having an amazing time.

TLC, Sugar Ray, and Kid N Play!

The 90s were such an amazing period of musical expansion, fashion and technology explosion ! What’s one thing you wish would come back and one thing you’re glad we left behind?

More high fashion avant-garde looks…what’s old is NEW! Glad we left behind bell bottoms. It would also be nice to hear new music from some great 90s artists.
